Description: The Mayan in Exile Garden at the University of British Columbia UBC Farm, an orchard of 1,883 square meters managed by a group of Mayan families who fled Guatemala in the 1980s due to a military operation directed against the country's indigenous communities, where the "Three Sisters" -corn, beans and squash-, staple foods of the Mayan diet, are mainly grown.
Meeting point: Buses will leave at 9:00 a.m. from the Vancouver Convention Centre (Place of Congress) and will return at 2:00 p.m.
Cost: USD $15.00 per person. Limited to 30 people. Maximum three registrants per member of the section.
