Registration Categories

Categories for members

The following categories recognize the geographic and income diversity of the LASA members and are available when acquiring the All Access, which includes membership and Congress registration, as well as when acquiring the membership by itself. Therefore, all LASA members can enjoy the benefit of these categories.

Regular

Academics and researchers with an institutional affiliation. This category is divided into four subcategories based on annual income.

Retired, Independent or Non-Affiliated, Contingent or Adjunct

This category includes retired academics from a university or research institution, academics and researchers with no institutional affiliation or independent, as well as contingent or adjunct intellectuals.  

Student

Graduate and undergraduate students enrolled full-time in an academic program of an accredited institution of learning. Student members can benefit from this category for up to 7 years.

Lifetime

Members that pledge support to LASA and receive lifetime membership.

Categories for non-members

Regular Non-Member

Registration category for those who are not current LASA members.

Student Non-member

Registration category for students who are not current LASA members.

Local students and scholars registration 

Registration category for local students and scholars who are Colombian residents with no role in the Congress and no previous affiliation with LASA.
