November 12, 2021

LASA is pleased to announce the winners of the sixteenth cycle of the FORD-LASA Special Projects, a grant possible thanks to the contribution of the Ford Foundation to benefit the LASA Endowment Fund.

Selected Projects

Valeria Meiller
University of Texas at San Antonio

Whitney DeVos
University of California, Santa Cruz

A FORD-LASA grant was awarded to this valuable project because it provides a different and new cognitive approach to a topic of great current impact. Also, for being well focused and structured, for its transregional character, and for the variety and attractiveness of its final products.

First Congress of RITHAL on Domestic Work in Latin America

Erynn Masi de Casanova (Coord.)
University of Cincinnati

Jurema Gorski Brites
Universidade Federal de Santa Maria

Louisa Acciari
University College London

Lorena Poblete
Universidad Nacional de San Martín

Leda M. Pérez

FORD-LASA funding was granted to this valuable proposal because of the relevance of the labor issue, particularly in the current situation of the region. Also, because it allows approaches from different disciplines of the Social Sciences and because of the possibilities it offers to give greater visibility and growth to research in a line of work full of discrimination and inequalities.
