The Perry Center supports the community of security and defense professionals in the Americas to pursue collaborative approaches to mutual opportunities and challenges. Through academics, research, and outreach, including ministerial-level consulting, we advance sustainable institutional capacity, strengthen the rule of law and democracy, and promote greater understanding of US policy throughout the Western Hemisphere. Located at National Defense University, the Perry Center is a US Department of Defense regional center for strategic studies.

The Perry Center publishes original works by faculty, staff, alumni, and international colleagues through a variety of print and digital outlets. To date, these number more than 900 written works, including books and special reports. Additionally, faculty and staff regularly publish peer-reviewed journal articles in external outlets.
